Anna Farmer, LLAM CertTESOL FESB :: Speech and Drama
Anna Farmer has been involved in Festival work all her life, as a competitor, a parent, a teacher, an .organiser (Speech & Drama Section Secretary with Godalming Festival for over 10 years) and as an adjudicator at venues as varied as Hong Kong and Ireland as well as across the breadth of the UK.She has been teaching Drama and Voice-work at every level since 1968 and is well known for producing school plays of a high standard, encouraging children to participate both back-stage as well as acting, believing that drama develops self-confidence and teamwork. She is also aware of the importance of all communication skills which young people now need as early as 5 years old through their education into whatever career they follow.
She has been an examiner for the English Speaking Board (International) Ltd. for many years, working abroad as well as home, and has a special interest in developing oral communication in young people. She is also an examiner for the Speech & Drama Section of Trinity Guildhall, again travelling abroad on their behalf.
